Mosanté has a Unique Bonus/ Malus mechanism which is used to adjust premiums paid by members according to their claim history. Bonus is a discount given on the premium to reward low claimants, whereas the Malus is an increase in the premium for high frequency claimants. At BMPA this exercise is reviewed annually.
The PayLess Service which is available at some participating pharmacies and opticians* enables members with a Merged Benefits Cover to manage their medical budgets better when presenting their physical or E-membership card.
With this added benefit, members only need to disburse the applicable excess which is 20% on purchase of prescribed medication or eyewear while the remaining balance is settled directly by Mosanté in line with the limits and terms and conditions of the member’s cover.
So, not only a member does not have to make a full payment upfront with the service provider to then recover the expense by submitting a claim, but also, they do not need to go through the hassle of submitting a claim altogether!
